Typography revision

This is my revised typography for my horror campaign, taking into account the critiques and improvements suggested regarding colour and how much it should stand out.

Evaluation Report

DVD Cover draft

This is the first draft of my DVD cover. It still needs basic editing done for the typography of the title, and the addition of the tag-line, but overall I am satisfied with the results. It is different to my teaser and billing posters in the way it focuses on the candle, but I think that it creates a better effect than my original designs.

My target for today's lesson is to work on my final draft of my DVD cover.

Final Teaser Poster Draft

This is the final draft for my teaser poster. It is based off of the original teaser poster draft, but after talking to students, I decided it would be better to change the copy and typography of the tagline so that it had some form of continuity with the billing poster. I am very happy with the results, although I do believe that if I have time beforehand I might try to blend the background of the typography in with the poster further so it creates a more polished look.

Final Billing Poster Draft

This is the final draft of my billing poster for my horror film "Tabula Rasa." It is adapted from a variety of photographs and manipulations already completed. Overall, I am pleased with the results, with my favourite part of it being the background and the candle. I am less happy with the way the title came out, although I am happy with the overall poster.

My target for the end of todays lesson is to fully complete both drafts of my teaser poster and my billing poster.

In this lesson, I worked on producing a draft version of my teaser poster. I was happy with the way it has turned out, and although different from what I was originally planning, by talking to other students, I was able to alter the idea into something more suitable for the campaign I am producing.

Synopsis of Psychological Horror Film - Tabula Rasa

A young woman, who has a fascination with reading about the occult, starts to see parallels between what she is reading and what is happening to her in real life. Gradually becoming more paranoid and scared that she is being attacked and stalked by some evil spirit, she tries to use black magic to get rid of it. It doesn't work, the signs and attacks becoming worse and worse, but what she doesn't realise is that the only thing attacking her is herself...

(This plays off of the theme of mental instability, with what the young woman sees as blood on the walls, attacks from the "spirit," etc etc actually being hallucinations that get more and more vivid the more she descends into madness)
